Banksy Art

Banksy's art was very unusual to some but clever to others. I was one of the many that found his artwork interesting and unique. Some of his artwork has meaning to it and could make people think differently about the world they live in. For example, in one of his most famous pieces of art called "Utilize Kindness" is a picture of a guy who is throwing a bouquet of flowers instead of a lethal weapon. I think this means that people can do more not by violence but by tranquility and peace.

Boy In Stripped Pajamas

In the book, Boy In the Stripped Pajamas, ends in a tragic death of Bruno and his friend, Shmuel that is a prisoner in a concentration camp in search for his father. The two are killed by being put in a gas chamber. This ending didn't suprise me because during this time it was hard and an unspeakable time for people who were in these camps and it's the truth of what actually happened so I was expecting this outcome.

People's Problem with Beyonce

Ever since Beyonce released her new song, "Formation", everyone have been giving their opinions about it. People either love it or hate it and it seems like there are more people that hate it more than the ones that love it. There are two issues with the song, when she performed at Superbowl 50 and the music video. The Superbowl 50 performance made people think that it was racist in some way. People thought that because she had all minority dancers with her and the lyrics that expressed herself and her ethnicity. The other problem was her music video and people think that she's anti-police but I don't see it. All she basically does is sit on top of a police car and I don't seem the harm in that. Now the police calls a boycott and refuse to assist her on her world tour because they feel some way about the video. I think the problem is that people weren't ready for Beyonce to come out with something that talks about her ethnicity and relates to the Black Live Matter movement,it caught people off guard. People are used to the "Single Ladies" and "Halo" Beyonce. She basically created music for everybody to enjoy and when she came out with this song that actually had a message and meaning. I personally think that people are over exaggerating and make a big deal out of everything.

Gas Prices Dropping in Connecticut

A Shell Station in New Haven owned by Gerry Katz has lowered regular gas prices under $2 a gallon. Cheaper gas leads to more business. "As the prices go down, more people come in for groceries, lottery, and ATM" , says Gerry. Prices haven't been low like this since the last 35 years in Elm City.  Gas is also 43 cents lowers than last year in Connecticut standing at $2.14 and an average price per gallon in CT.

In Cold Blood

At the end of the book, Dick and Perry end back up in Las Vegas and get caught because a police officer recognizes their license plates. They both get questioned and Dick confesses everything that has happened and they are both condemned to death. While they're on death row, Perry tries to starve himself to death and Dick writes a letter to various appeals organization. We find out that Dick didn't do anything and Perry is the one that has done everything.

Sagging Pants

Today, sagging your pants is a most common trend people see today. Sagging your pants is when you let your pants go below your butt when it's supposed to be on your waist. Mostly everyone says that this trend originated from prison and the meaning was to let other prisoners know that you're sexually available. After the prisoner got out, they introduced sagging to the world and it got around. Now it's got to a point where it's completely unacceptable. In Ocala Fl., it's illegal to sag your pants. If you are caught doing it then you will be fined $500 or sentenced to 6 months. I don't sag my pants at all so I personally think that sagging your pants is just a dumb thing to do consider that you have to pull up your pants every 5 seconds to get them from falling, but what's the point, they're already half way off anyways?
